Chase and Charla met in 2004 as students at Vassar College in New York. (Chase graduated with the class of 2007 with a B.A. in Urban Studies with concentrations in Geography and Sociology, while Charla joined the class of 2008 with a B.A. in English and Italian.) Their adventures and travels had already begun in college by organizing and participating in rafting and skydiving trips through the Vassar Outing Club, and studying abroad in Australia and Italy.
After graduating, they went separate directions for a while. Charla spent years living in Southeast Asia teaching English in Thailand and South Korea and working as a PADI Divemaster in Thailand and Indonesia; "travel" and "adventure" were ways of life. During that time, Chase lived in Alaska, spending the summers working for an airline with a fleet of skiplanes that flies mountain climber and expedition support in the Alaska Range and spending the winters working and snowboarding at Alaska's premier ski resort.
They reunited in 2011 while Chase was driving around North America for 76 days and Charla was attending graduate school at Florida State University working towards a Master's Degree in English. Their many visits to Florida and Alaska, as well as travels around the country and the world, have rekindled their mutual wanderlust and their unending search for adventures, where they may be.
Chase and Charla are always on the lookout for their next adventure, whether it's around the corner or around the world. Explore their blog, and remember to check back later to see what else these two fun, creative, ambitious, and slightly crazy people have come up with next!
